About the research

This project covers the activities required for the continued implementation and enhancement of the Iowa DOT pavement management optimization system. The work will cover all of the Iowa DOT interstate and primary (NHS and non-NHS) systems. Previous phases covered the evaluation and selection of the pavement management methodology. This phase covers new enhancements being made to the pavement management system, including managing the automated distress data collection contract, developing the GIS database, and providing continued support for the Iowa DOT pavement management activities.
