  • About the Slider Tabs

    • Data Grid -- The data grid returns query results within a table. Simply clicking on any one row will launch a page displaying detailed information about the selected bridge. A single bridge may be represented multiple times upon initiating a query. This is because a bridge may have multiple states, counties, or World Guide Numbers associated with it. Clicking on any of the related records will lead to the same detail page for that bridge.

    • Map -- Query results are dynamically returned and displayed on the map. ONLY existing bridges with known locations are currently displayed. Hovering over any marker will display the bridge's name. The bridge details page can be accessed by clicking on the 'details' link within the marker balloon that appears when the user clicks on a marker.

    • Trusses -- The Trusses tab displays an interactive pie chart that displays the various truss types returned by the user-generated query. Hover over the chart with the mouse for more details.

    • Existing Bridge Stats -- This tab displays an interactive choropleth map that displays the number of existing covered bridges in the U.S.A. by state. Hover over the map with the mouse for more details.

    • Lost Bridge Stats -- This tab displays an interactive choropleth map that displays the number of lost covered bridges in the U.S.A. by state. Hover over the map with the mouse for more details.

    • *Please Note: Most tabs do not display content until the user submits a query.
